So I sold 5 things on eBay this week.
My kids want me to buy them some Nintendo 3DS's so I sold the following:
1x PS3 (buyer backed out)
1x ipod (buyer backed out)
1x xbox (buyer paid)
1x games (buyer paid)
so that's a 50% failure rate on eBay in my opinion. Not only do I have to go through the hassle to cancel these auctions and then relist them and hope that I don't have to go through this again.. but now my kids will have to wait yet another week for me to get them the toy that I promised them this week.
And what do the buyers get out of this... ? nothing. no repercussions, no issues on their behalf. no negative feedback.
why are the sellers getting shafted like this?
I used to sell $1000's per month on eBay.. now I just sell the junk that is around the house. I've had it.

Don't cancel the transactions, file UIDs and give them a strike.

thanks. I find that takes too long too file any UID's. but man do I ever wish that I could leave negative feedback.
This happens at least 2-3 times a month on this account and my 'work' ebay account that I manage.
the buyers have no morals. They think that this is a wally-mart and that they can just return anything they want.
ticks me off

I find that filing the UID usually makes them pay up.

I agree with nan*55. By not filing the UID, you encourage them to continue. And other sellers will experience the same thing you did. 😞 At least, if they get a strike, the sellers with the buyers block settings won't have to deal with them.

I agree that filing UID is the best way. Never use cancellation process as they can reject them and then you lose the refund for final value fees. With UID, they get strike and we get the refund of FVF and feedback automatically removed.
Wonder if eBay takes notice of any buyers who got so many strikes, do they suspend them or what or let them continue?? Wish they put the notice of how many UIDs on their pages for us to check like with how many bid retractions.
