I just want to say a quick thanks to those who offered their thoughts about my DUPLICATE LISTINGS post on the weekly session. Its closed now so I can't say so over there. I know it has come up before and often but when researching I could not find a final last word answer because I keep seeing obviously duplicates. The eBay policy is so convoluted those sellers probably don't know they are doing anything wrong. Here is something I didn't know:
there is a service that exists in Europe that allows a seller in UK, for example, to replicate their UK listings on other eBay country sites, on translated listings, and which manages the inventory accordingly. So it's possible that you would see the same item across different EU eBay sites in different languages, but in reality they are all the same listing and if one was to sell, they would all disappear. We don't have that here in North America.
