I'm sure most sellers know by now that eBay and Paypal split some months ago. However, I am noticing a few little cracks in the remaining communication between the two.
For example, I've observed for the past while that eBay is no longer picking up the fact that I've shipped (i.e. purchased a Paypal label) and marking my sold items accordingly with the shipped icon, if I use Light Packet or Small Packet. The connectivity does still seem to be there for the tracked services.
Many of you may already be aware of this, but I thought I'd mention it specifically, as some may still be under the impression that if they buy a Paypal label for Light/Small Packet, Paypal will send a "ping" back to eBay to mark the item as shipped. Apparently not any longer -- you are going to have to do that manually, which means checking all your items that have been sent by Light/Small Packet and marking them as shipped within your promised handling time.

"... if they buy a Paypal label..."
Technically, one buys a Canada Post label on eBay through Pitney Bowes, the administrator of the system under contract by eBay.
PayPal is only the source of payment, nothing else.

It's random for me as well. I think that it has only happened once or twice.

This has happened to me quite a few times. I am also finding that I quite often miss getting the email saying I have printed a label. Certainly not working like it used whether it is Paypal, eBay or Pitney Bowes.

I'm not getting them playing nice on tracked items either. I've been having to manually add in my tracking numbers and carrier for a while now.
