-50,000 GTC (good to cancelled) listings - ebay.ca listings must be in $CAD
-invite only

other two promos (activation required) have been discussed in other threads:

100, 000 free, only for listings in Canadian dollar 😞 I guess they are still pushing that one.

The promotion I found this morning in my Selling Manager (no email or message received) is different:
- by invitation only
- fixed price listings only (no auction)
- duration 30 days or GTC only
- listings on eBay.com only

Wow this is one of my main problems with ebay. No free promotions for over one month and then WHAM this morning I could list 100,000 plus items BUT only if I am willing to list in Canadian dollars.
I have my own stats that show me that listing in Can LOWERS my income and YOURS EBAY! So these promotions are useless to me! I THINK THE MAIN REASON YOU DO THIS IS CAN BUYERS COMPLAIN FOR MORE CAN LISTINGS.
Why not be FAIR and FLEXIBLE to all sellers with promotions and let US decide how we want to list and in what currency. Do you not trust the knowledge of your experienced sellers?
Once again I am losing money and so are U ebay. THANKS

You have to pay for listings on the 20% off FVF special so be very careful and read all the terms.
If you have no free listings left, you may get screwed, especially as slow as sales are!

Sorry eBay. I refuse to list using CAD. Unless you allow me the flexibility to list in the currency of my choice, you're not getting my business, plain and simple. Why do you make it so hard for some of us to do business with you?

I'm beginning to think everyone got different promo's,,,,mine is 50,000 on .ca ,,GTC only and in CAD,,,and 50,000 on .com ,,,GTC only and in USD. Tested both site's and seems to be working,,,,

"I refuse to list using CAD"
???
All eBay sellers everywhere in the world list in their own currency when listing on the eBay website of their country (Canada is the only exception at this time).
International sellers (including Canadians) wishing to list in US$ can do so on eBay.com
Personally I do both: list on eBay.ca in Cdn$ for items I feel will be of greater interest to Canadians and on eBay.com in US$ for items I feel will be of interest to a more global audience.
So far this week I have received several purchases from American buyers (and one from Singapore) for items listed in Cdn$ on eBay.ca. The listing currency is NOT a deterrent to American or international buyers. It seems that most international buyers do not care if the listing is for Cdn$ 13.00 or equivalent US$10.00. They generally pay for their purchases in the currency of their country and let PayPal (or whatever service) do the conversion.

Would never have known about any of these promotions if I hadn't looked on this discussion board. No more e-mails or messages on eBay. Not thrilled with making us only sell in Canadian dollars. All my listings have always been in US dollars for 14 years & I make a profit. The US exchange makes up for all the fees & charges by eBay. Not sure if I will even bother with these offers.

"The US exchange makes up for all the fees & charges by eBay. "
Dont' get that. Obviously if I was going to list at US$20 I would list at CAN$26. The US$ one doens't cover any fees, it woudl cost me an extra 2.5% in fees to exchange the money. And now the US$ would cost me even more by not counting for the 20% off promo. Anyone who was sitting on US$ looking at their paper gain has seen much of it evaporate very quickly
Pretty hard for sellers with a lot if US$ listings to convert them all for this promo, but ebay has been telegraphing this was coming for a long time

OMG
I got three and all says:
"You pay no insertion fees when Canadian Dollar is specified as the currency."
Come on ebay...

At this point I wish they would just come right out with it and force us to change to CDN. Why beat around bush by offering promos like these? For months we have been speculating that we will be forced to make the change so why the wait. I prefer to list in US$ but if they intend on changing it, do it already!
03-22-2016 04:54 PM
I get that too but it is not working as I am being charged the insertion fees.
And what more why did eBay offers us this promos 19 days later when it said it starts March 1, 2016 and ends April 1, 2016, so we are missing the first 22 days (3 full weeks!!) What is up that eBay would offer us 3 weeks when in fact they should offer us on March 1, 2016!! Very disappointing as it is not enough time to list many items the next 10 days. eBay wake up and offer at the right date not 3 weeks!! Suggest you owe us and give us additional 3 weeks!!

I found it is working for me now if I use CAN Currency and GTC (not 30-day duration!).
Wow!! What a fantastic tricky tactics on eBay's part if we list our items with GTC and we may "forgot" to cancel it before it is due to cancelled, we get dings for insertion fees!! Awesome tricky tactics on eBay's part to get "unwanted" fees on my part!
Other thing **bleep** me off is that eBay offered me this promo 22 days late as it said it starts March 1, 2016 and ends on April 1, 2016!! What a dud eBay is!!
