Time Flies By.....

In the mail today, from the American Philatelic Society, came a special certificate and pin attesting to twenty-five year membership!

It seemed like yesterday...

What does age have to do with it?

maybe he joined after he retired. there is no age limit for joining any club that I know of. I did not join the legion until I was 40ish while other I know joined un their 20's

I was joking with Pierre. Hopefully he got it. It went right over your head.

Actually, I was quite (relatively) young when I joined the APS.

The average age of members is 67. That number has been more or less contant for decades.

Back when I was a teen and into my 20's, I was an avid stamp collector (my doctor gave me stamps when I was only five).

I used to go to some of the exhibitions and drool over the stuff I would never own.

I was asked to join several groups but didn't because of the ages of the other members.  I just didn't think I would fit in with all those "seniors".  Next year, I will be 67 - now I guess I would fit in.
