VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH A CANADIAN POWERSELLER I'VE BOUGHT FROM

No names going to be mentioned here...but I bought an item from a very large volume Canadian Powerseller. I received it in non-working order. Emailed them about it, they told me to send it back, which I did, and then assured me they would be sending me another one. After a bunch of run-around emails and a total of almost 2 months later I have no product and am out $38US as I can no longer file with paypal. My emails are no longer being answered. I requested their contact info and tried calling, but it's a recording that says they only communicate via email.

I have been polite the whole way through and obviously very patient. I just still can't believe a fellow powerseller would just steal my money like that.:-(

Just because your big, doesn't make you decent. Shame on you!!

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

Can you prove that you returned it? If so, you may be able to prove fraud.
Can you post the item #?

Sounds to me like you have left this go too long. I had a similar thing happen, some of these power sellers buy stuff that has been returned to the large box stores and then re-sell it. I bought a bread box, expecting it to be usable, but it was dented and bent. Now when I buy something, I try to stay away from those large power sellers with numbers in the 10's of thousands. They are just too big to give personalized customer service. I know there will be a few good Power Sellers with large numbers, someday I may get into the 10's of thousands of feedback ranking also, but I will always remain customer service orientated.

Hi all. We have a separate buying I.D and am constantly amazed at how poorly, so many sellers actually perform. Shoddy packing, little or no communication, up to 10 days BEFORE they actually get around to shipping. When contacting them about this delay, I am told, "what's the problem, you got your item didn't you? I respond by letting them know that I am also a seller and would never delay a shipment for TEN DAYS without, at least the courtesy of emailing the buyer (with deserved apologies of course). Their response to that is "well, we are busy, ok?" No, its NOT ok. The list goes on and on. Yet, when I check heir feedback before bidding, it is always from good to great.

I have spoken to many friends/acquaintances who used to buy on eBay but no longer do. When asked why, I am told, lousy merchandise, misrepresented, dirty, poorly prepared for packing, vague or no responses to inquiries, product knock-offs, fraud etc. This "venue" needs to bring in more buyers, and weed out the slimeball sellers, the scammers, the bait and switch artists, the fee avoider's, etc. Just my 2 cents worth. Rant over !!

Update...

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau online two nights ago and I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I finally received an email from the seller the following day. I was assured they aren't trying to steal my money and wanted to verify my address again to ship me my item. I replied yesterday (the 7th) and we'll see if I get a response today.

zarzuella...Yes I can prove that they received it back I have the email in which they said they got it back...how would you suggest I prove fraud? Meaning who do I contact to get that process started? Which authorities?

laplaya29...Yes for sure I waited too long, I was a little naive to assume this guy would do such a thing..but I have my reasons, primarily because I had heard a lot of good things about this guy over the years.

2hormy and zarzuella...I am still hesistant to post the item number or reveal who the seller is...for several reasons...first of all I don't think it is allowed on these posts to do such a thing and I don't want to risk problems with ebay. But if it doesn't get resolved I might just do that.

If you do not get any action then I would contact the owner of the company directly by asking to speak with the owner or someone in management -- most likely your email is being handled by an employee who is paid minimum wage and does not really care about how upset you are.

Move up the chain and see if that does not get you a better/quicker response.

Hello Cello,

Did you pay Paypal by any chance with a credit card ? If so you can make a complaint to your credit card that seller did not send item.

I am sure you can get back your money.

Have you thought of dealing with Square Trade on this one. It costs money to set up a dispute, but it's the principal of the thing. If it were I, I want what I paid for.
