Weird shipping: I am in Canada, seller is in Texas but the shipping notification shows my package being sent to Kentucky Airport.

Also the USPS tracking number comes up with nothing (though that could be because the item was only shipped this morning)

The seller didn't ship the item or send me any documentation until I initiated contact. Even my order details on the ebay site show that I'm $15 short on my payment, even though s+h is less than that, and the import fee is more! (So where did $15 come from?)

With so many little odd things going on already I can't shake the feeling that I'm getting scammed, though maybe that's jumping the gun.

Hi sixtyliner ..Nah , not getting scammed , having your first run in with ebay's new Global shipping Program.

When viewing a listing in top section will see..import charges..to be provided at checkout. This indicates that seller is using Global and any duty/taxes will be charged at checkout. Pitney Bowes handles the paperwork and transships from a depot when received from seller.... Tracking is suppose to be from myebay..

Shipping is like sausage making-- you really don't want to look too closely into what is going on.

I agree that the Global Shipping Plan is probably the cause of the strange pricing.

But apparently the seller is satisfied with the price and has shipped. The item is on its way to you.

There will be a $9 service charge from Canada Post and there may be sales tax and duty to pay as well. That's the $15 which you would be paying to Canada Post.
