Where are my dolls!

Hello everyone.  Well, here we go again.  In the last month I have been doing the usual Christmas shopping and I came across a pair of vintage Campbell Soup dolls that I thought would be a nice present for my sister.  I found out after purchase that my mother had purchased these same dolls for my sisters when they were little and so buying these for my sister would be perfect.  I ended up being the only bidder and purchased them for just over $13.00 American.  The purchase date was November 22 and estimated time of delivery was December 4 to the 9.   Four days went by and they had not been shipped and so I decided  to send the seller a little message nicely pointing out that Christmas was just around the corner and there wasn't much time left to ship items in time for Christmas.  I was very nice and apologized for being impatient.  I didn't hear a word from them.  The American Thanksgiving came and went and still no word and so I sent another message again being very nice.  I finally got a message saying " I will try to ship them out Saturday night, thanks Chris.  They haven't been shipped yet.  I sent a message Sunday just to see if they had been shipped and I heard nothing.  I sent a message last night asking them to please send me a message as to whether the dolls have been shipped and nothing.  It's been 11 days and even though there was enough time for the dolls to get here when I purchased them even if they were shipped now they wouldn't get here in time.  I don't even want them any more. As it is I am left to try and find my sister something else for Christmas.   I would rather not deal with a seller that is so lacking in communication that I don't know if I'm coming or going with this transaction.  If this seller communicated with me any problems or issues with shipping I would have been understanding of the situation but to leave me high and dry is not a good way of dealing with a buyer.  I am considering asking for a full refund just to put this behind me.

The purchase date was November 22 and estimated time of delivery was December 4 to the 9....  I sent a message Sunday just to see if they had been shipped and I heard nothing.

I would send one last message, lacking in any formalities or soft words.

"What is the shipping date, shipping service and tracking number* of this purchase.?' for example.

If you don't get a response in 24 hours, open the Dispute and get the refund.

The first step in the Dispute process is to contact the seller, and you have already done that, so go directly to Step Two.

If the seller cannot prove DELIVERY, you will get a full refund. If the seller does not refund voluntarily, eBay/PP will and go after him for their money.

Sellers have only seven days to ship before losing our Seller Protection. This seller is beyond sloppy!

*If the seller is at all bright, he will recognize this as a very veiled threat.

It looks like this is a fairly new seller who might be very irresponsible or who might not have any idea that they are signed up in the global shipping program and are overwhelmed at shipping outside of the U.S.   If you still want the dolls you might want to explain to the seller that they have to ship to the gsp depot in Kentucky who will then ship them to you.  I think that if the seller was to shipthe package directly to you, there is a chance you would receive it in time for Christmas but with the gsp....it may be less likely.

If you want to cancel you could ask the seller for a refund or file an item not received claim through ebay. You usually can't file a claim through ebay until after the last estimated delivery date although that may not be true if the item hasn't been marked as shipped yet. You can file a claim through Paypal before the estimated delivery date.

Do not ask the seller for a refund if this was a GSP item! You'd be forfeiting the international shipping portion of your payment.

The only way for the OP to get all of his/her money back is to open an "Item Not Received" claim.  It should be done now. The time to be nice to the seller has come and gone.

Where are my dolls!

Hello folks.  Just a bit of follow up on my problem seller.  The night before last after writing about my situation on the discussion forum and receiving advice from fellow eBayers I did write the seller back.  I  let the know seller know that because of their lack of communication this transaction was turning out to be more trouble than it was worth and requested a refund if the dolls had not be shipped yet.  I hadn't taken into account the global shipping aspect of this transaction at the time.  I also mentioned that if I didn't hear from them in the next 24 hours I would file a case against them with eBay.  Yesterday morning I checked my purchase order and it finally showed that the dolls were shipped, 13 days after purchase.  I also received a message saying that they wouldn't refund my money because the dolls had been shipped.   They also mentioned  that the dolls were listed stating that they would be shipped between the dates of December 4th and the 9th.  I don't know why they would say this when there is no mention of these dates at all.  I guess all I can do is wait for the dolls to come and hope that other transactions go smoother than this one.  At least it's coming to a end.  Thank you fellow eBayer's for your advice, much appreciated.
