Winnipeg Sellers, PO No Longer Does A Sunday Pickup at the Village RPO

Just found this out, but not sure if this was the only RPO that had a pick-up on Sundays.

The Shoppers RPO in the Village would open at ten on Sundays & the PO would do their pick-up promptly at eleven.

I guess since the renovations are near complete the RPO will now open at noon with no PO pick-up til monday morning.

Heads up to the sellers that use that outlet early on Sunday mornings.

We don't eve get a Saturday pickup anywhere here.

We don't have a pick up here on Saturdays or Sundays, they literally closed their post office (only one in a small town!) at 5 pm on Fridays until 9 am on Mondays expect holidays.

That is okay, so why should it be "open" on Saturdays or Sundays anywhere in Canada?  If they close on Saturdays or Sundays, it can save a lot of $$$.

I am amazed that the U.S. Congress won't allow USPS to close Saturday deliveries!  It is U.S. Congress' fault for allowing the defict increasing with this insane request!!

Was the pick up by Canada Post personal or by the contractor paid to collect the mail from franchisees?

Did the mail actually reach the postal sorting station on Sunday?  or kept in the van/truck until the sorting station open on Monday?

I imagine it was dropped off & sorted on the overnight shift.

Not all RPOs have a weekend pickup.

One RPO I worked at had a Saturday pickup, and the one I'm currently at has a Saturday pickup. But there some that I know of in my area (that aren't within a Shoppers Drug Mart) that do not have a pickup at all.

Talked to the RPO Manager at the Village Shoppers.

CP will be still doing a pickup Sunday promptly at noon & yes, items will not be sorted until the overnight shift begins later in the day.
