buyer wants to cancel after he pays

I have a buyer that wants to have his money refunded a day after auction ended and he already paid they were brand new beats headphones he says they were not the ones he wanted,my ebay fees for this are 21.13 I asked him if he pays my fees I will refund ,but he thinks he should not have to refund me my cost .

Since he has paid, you cannot open an Unpaid Item Dispute.

But if you refuse to refund and send them instead, you will undoubtedly get a neg and trashed DSRs and an Item Not As Described dispute and maybe never see the headphones or receive some garbage instead.

So.

Send a polite note to the nitwit, saying you are sorry he can't read or understand a picture doesn't want the headphones.

Tell him you will send him a request for a Mutual Cancellation and his refund.

Personally, I would want the agreement to the MC before I refunded, but ... he probably want the money first. If he asks, refund. If not, get the MC agreement, which ends the transaction, then refund very promptly.

EBay will refund your Final Value Fees, but not the original listing fees. They consider this as equal to an item which does not sell at all.
