can't find my initial item for posting

I was in the middle of posting an item and had to have my limit increased and now can't find the item

do I have to start all over again?

If it doesn't show up as an incomplete draft, yes.

I actually write my descriptions in a Text document and add the HTML coding. Then I can transfer that to the Sell Your Item page easily when I am writing up the listing. Description and pictures are the slowest parts of listing I find.

I also have my Terms of Sale and my standard HTML codes on my desktop for cut and paste.
