eBay bug: cannot remove tax from combined invoice

I run some personal excess through my shop so through the templates particular listings are set to collect tax. I thought I could take care of it on the invoice, the field is editable.

Well, it turns out as another eBay glitch. Although I can set the field to "No sales tax", change the number to 0, even the invoice preview shows no tax, the actual invoice sent to the customer has tax.

I tried this several times. I am posting this in the faint hope pink picks it up (if there still are pinks left?).

If I am to understand you are attempting to sell SOME items TAX FREE, and others as taxable.
I think our accountant would call this a case of ONE PAIR OF PANTS- WITH TWO POCKETS. And, as long as you are wearing THOSE PANTS, you'd better be charging tax on EVERYTHING to stay away from problems.

Most of the time it is easier to open ANOTHER eBay account to stay away from the conflicting issues this situation poses. Are you a LTD company? Is your eBay account registered as such?
If so, and you are, are contemplating, running NO TAX sales through that account, I'd be quickly seeking advice from someone with much more knowledge. Looks like a recipe for disaster.

even the invoice preview shows no tax

Click the Send button on the Preview page, if you go back to the invoice after looking at the Preview everything reverts back to the original amounts.

This is a very valid question for us, as we sell GST ZERO-rated supplies (read as FOOD), as well as taxable items. Apparently no one has purchased a mixed basket for us to run into this error.
However, I am noting the potential for a problem should someone buy a Coffee Mug (PST & GST in Ontario), and a KILO of chocolate (NO PST or GST)!

I think you should take some time and set that in every item specifically. But I am not positive on that.

My problem was that I used the template, which has certain Item Description fields prepopulated (such as usage of tax table).
