ebay scams sellers on final value fees with non payers

why is it that when you have a non payer that you only get a credit on the selling portion and not a credit on the shipping part, totally a rip off,and to boot these non payers that have never sold anything keep their 100 per cent feed back score,i guess ebay like non payers, you should be able to leave feed back as to inform sellers that in fact they are not 100 per cent but in fact 90 percent after the first case, and 50 percent after the second case, hard to figure also a buyer that has never sold anything shouldnt be allowed to leave neg feed back on shipping, this site is really going to the dogs,

Sellers have no value to ebay anymore. Their attitude is that sellers are a dime a dozen anymore. Lose one this morning and gain 100 this afternoon. With the rush of every Tom, Joe and Peter Everyone trying to sell anything from used potty's to last year cellphone have created an overflow of sellers and ebay like a traditional capitalistic and greedy entreprise is taking full advantage of the situation. This Wednedsday just passed, ebay hosted a town hall meeting where 3 ebay reps wasted a couple of hours on the usual useless promo that these town hall radio meetings have become. However about 15-20 minutes into the broadcast all three host stated the following in extreme surprise"......the resolution center sometimes rules in the sellers favor,,," at which point both of the reps exclaimed to the host"...yeah it does happen sometimes and all started laughing hysterically. Wow!!!! They don't even attempt to disguise it anymore. Yeah ruling in sellers favor does happen, about as frequently as a blue moon or super moon. Selling on ebay now means you have to look at ebay as your ennemy that is trying to drive yoiur business to the ground and act accordingly. Always think what is the worst possible outcome ebay could rule for the seller in this particular situation and that will be the answer/ruling you receive as a seller. Selling fees are a nightmare and their credit system is a total joke but until a new selling site comes along that has a huge marketing budget so they can breakthrough, ebay will continue to exploit and maximize profits on the almost monopoly they have over the online "treasure business". Bottom line or moral of this story, ebay is an extremely greedy company that likes to maximize profits and minimize service/cost. Usual typical bottom line for most capitilistic companies based in today's so called democratic world. Yuuuuuuuuup welcome to the NEW ebay but unfortunately still working with same old antiquated software platform...............

???

eBay doesn't charge a fee on the shipping part until AFTER the buyer has paid.

There is NO shipping fee to be credited when the buyer is a non-payer because there was no fee charged.

you only get a credit on the selling portion and not a credit on the shipping part,

Why did you ship and incur that cost before the bidder had paid?

ebay charges the final value fee before the buyer pays,on shipping as well as on the price of the item, when you have a non payer you get the final value fees credited bck on the selling part but not the shipping

Can others confirm this is true? My buyers usually choose free shipping options, but if this is true, it's certainly another reason to not include any Expedited service options...

The post by ypdc_dennis (#3) has the correct answer.

Like already mentioned, Ebay only charges a fvf on shipping after the buyer pays, the fvf on the purchase price it deducted right away, makes no sense I know. I think they shouldn't charge any fvf's until the item has been paid for, therefore, no filing for unnecessary fvf credits if the buyer doesn't pay. Ebay loves to really make us work hard for our money and credits.
