hello
just curious what a buyer has to pay both import charges and shipping and handling on items that could be easily marked as gifts.
I have always paid shipping on items now it seems another charge labelled "import" has surfaced and the buyer has to pay for both.
Please explain

If you bought it, it is not a gift.
Even on real gifts, like that nice homeknitted scarf Nana sent you from Florida for Christmas, duty and tax is payable if the item is valued over $60 CDN.
