We are trying to make a purchase of a car from the U.S. to Canada,, The seller insists on having all the money wired directly to his account in the U.S.,, We suggested that we would give 50%+shipping and deposit amount of $500, through pay-pal,, with that method and the balance would be paid when we pick up the car at the border as we cannot enter the U.S. due to lack of passports. The seller offered to transport the car to the borderfor the sum of $400.00 prior to us bidding on the car.. Now he is insisting " that the car,,nor any of his cars,, will not leave until he receives all the money" in his own words..

It sounds risky to me.
With motor vehicle purchases usually you make a deposit of between $500 and $1000 by paypal then pay the balance when you collect the vehicle.
Vehicles sold on eBay are usually collected in person by the buyer.
Transactions on eBay Motors are non binding so I would recommend not going through with this purchase.

If you want more advise or suggestions I would post on the USA

How were you going to clear car through US customs. With passport issues , was this really a wise decision to purchase.

Sounds like you need to plan a trip to the US in order to pick up your car.
