very difficult customer

I listed and sold a ladies windshirt Size Large to a customer in Ont. In her Paypal payment, she sent a message asking for a size Medium to be sent. I explained the listing was for a size Large and I do not have a size Medium.The listing actually stated size Large 3x with the corresponding measurements.I don't sell multiple sizes of  the same clothing, as I most always have one of a kind. She stated the listing was unclear regarding the size which it was not. The size Medium was never stated. I offered to refund her 100%, she continues to insist that I send a size Medium. Ive tried very hard to be polite but her replies are not as she continues to demand a size Medium. I've dealt with 1000s of customers over my 10 years here and have never come across a situation like this.There is no doubt in my mind when she receives the size Large windshirt she will leave neg feedback and 1s across the board. If I go ahead and refund her, can she still leave neg f/b and 1s across the boar? Should I send the item and hope for the best? Just need to some advise/opinions today.

It is very clear that the listing is for a large shirt so she is definitely confused. I wouldn't bother sending it to her since she has stated that she wants a medium, not a large so receiving a large might send her over the top.



Have you considered phoning her? Sometimes talking to a person can help to make things more clear.



I'm sure that she can leave a neg if you refund but unless you have something similar that you can substitute, I don't know what else you could do. You should have a look at her feedback given to other sellers and if she has a history of leaving bad ratings, you can report her to ebay and perhaps get the neg removed.

I am sure there is a report for buyer demanding something that is not part of the sale.
