what do you do when a seller agree to do a payment arrangements and then open a unpaid item case on

to me alot of these unpaid item cases are unfair to buyers when a seller agree to do a payment arrangements or are willing to wait for buyer payment then   they should give that buyer a chance instead of going behind a buyer back and file a unpaid item case on them couple days after the seller agree to do a payment arrangements or say they are willing to wait to me there is alot of selles are getting away with to much unpaid item cases leaving us buyers with bad records for no reason i wish there can be something done about this because there is alot of buyer that like doing payment arrangements but are getting stab in the back buy seller saying they agree and they lie to us 😞

Re: what do you do when a seller agree to do a payment arrangements and then open a unpaid item case

If you ask a seller if they are willing to wait until a specific date before you bid on an auction or before clicking on buy it now  then yes, they should keep to their end of the bargain unless you do not pay when you said you would.  If you ask them after you have bid or after you have made the purchase, then it is totally up to them how they handle the transaction.  In that situation they may agree to wait and then change their mind or they may agree just to avoid an argument. The point is...you are not entitled to buy and then ask a seller to wait for their money.

There are two ways to cancel a transaction and obviously you prefer that they do not cancel it by opening an unpaid item claim. But that's not your call. If they open an unpaid item claim, they are guaranteed to receive their fees back and be able to relist the item within 4 days. If they cancel the item without opening an unpaid item case, then they may  have to wait 10 days to relist the item and to receive their fees back. Of course they can relist it sooner but that isn't recommended by ebay.

Many of your purchases are seasonal. Sellers want to sell those items now before they are out of season so obviously they want to relist them as soon as possible. Otherwise, they may have to wait another year to sell those items.  Perhaps I'm wrong but based on your feedback you seem to be asking to delay payment after you have already made the purchase and then you want to set your own terms....that's just wrong.  What you  are doing is obviously not working so you need to start buying when you have the money available, not before. You aren't entitled to buy and pay later
