Beware of buying especially when the seller does not answer any of your e-mails. I bought a diamond ring took it to a jeweller and it is not a diamond. next thing I know he hes not a registered e-bay user anymore. the location of the item was in Canada so he said, next thing I know it was being shipped from Singapore post. I guess there was no returns since hes gone. I guess it is BUYER BEWARE.
never had a problem like this before. so I will not be buying any more jewellery from E-Bay again. Thanks for listening.

If the Item is Not As Described, contact ebay and open a case in the Resolution Centre. Mention in the case that the seller is not registered anymore.
As you yourself are a seller of jewelry, it makes no sense to tar every seller of jewellery with the same brush by saying you won't shop for jewelry on ebay any more because of this. Open a case, you'll get your money back. That's the reason there is a Resolution Centre.

hes not a registered e-bay user anymore. the location of the item was in Canada so he said, next thing I know it was being shipped from Singapore post.
Item location is confusing to sellers who are dropshipping. Many put their own location when they should be noting the location of the item.
Part of the reason for the "location" is so that a buyer will know if import fees are going to be likely.
But the main reason for the seller going NARU (Not A Registered User) is probably other unhappy buyers laying Not As Described claims.
If you are too late for the eBay Claim, you have six months (180 days) from payment for a Paypal claim. Do mention that the seller is NARU. This usually speeds up the claim.
Note that you might be required to return the ring to the seller, with Confirmation of Delivery. This would be to the Canada address not the one in Singapore.
