why do I only have the option to give positive feedback on my 2 recent trnasactions?

Hi,

I recently sold 2 items and when I try to leave feedback I only have the option to leave a positive feedback or report the buyer.

Also, I can't seem to find how to reply to a feedback I recently received.

Please enlighten me.

Regards,

Sellers can only leave positive or no feedback.

If you want to do a little nuance-- when I have a slow payer, my feedback, left on shipping, says "Thank you for your payment", instead of my normal "Thank you for your prompt payment.'

Non-payers  get slapped with an Unpaid Item Dispute and a Strike that makes it harder for them to buy on eBay in future.

Look at your Seller Preferences for that option.

Now.

Stop and think about leaving feedback.

Who do you think reads it?

Not your fellow sellers, Most of us sell by Fixed Price and only see FB when the customer has bought.

It's your future customers, that look at your FB received and left.

If you leave nasty FB for someone, what does that say to a future customer comparing FB as part of choosing which seller to use?

Any feedback you leave should be calm and factual. But if you leave a negative message in a green/positive FB, not only can the customer have it removed, but you will earn a Defect for breaking rules.

So let the nitwit buyer look like a drooling anger monkey. You are cool and professional.

If you want to leave a Response, scroll down to the bottom of your FB page.

The Response link is right below Leave Feedback.

Again, the most effective Response is calm and factual. It is not required to be positive.

Responses can be left for your own or your customer's FB.

BTW. FB is much less important than the Detailed Seller Ratings. EBay takes those very seriously.

If your immediate problem was the Dooney with the DNKY dustbag, I would suggest your response should be 'Dustbag was gift, not part of described lot.'

That would politely make the buyer look like an ungrateful idiot.

And neutrals don't affect your FB score in any case.

Also. Love that Dooney bag. But... 'My name is femmefan1946 and I am a purseaholic. I have not bought a purse for 23 days....'

Man SadHey Up ,

Assume all Feedback is positive and get a grip on yourself.

If you have got to the stage that you are even contemplating negative feedback

then, this particular eBay experience is really over.
You still have an option to provide some constructive feedback.

Have some fun with the English language and can tell the offending

party what you think in 101 ways using all the 80-85? letters and still stay
within eBay rules.

Again, get a grip on yourself and leave until for a couple of days,

'til the knee jerk anger has passed and have some fun.
Revenge is the option and, as they say "Its best served cold!"

SO WHO READS FEEDBACK ?  well you do. You probably read this line first in a milisecond

IN FEEDBACK TRY WRITING THE TEXT IN CAPS ONLY, IT STANDS OUT A MILE!

If a seller  is curious about a buyer, you punch the sellers ID and up pops his eBay Feedback Page, Look at Feedback Received and scrole through the list.
Yes, yes! it's all positive good stuff  but you don't have to read it.

Just scan through it quickly and anything in CAPS. will jump at you off the page,

YOU CAN EVEN USE  ICONS & SYMBOLS 2 FILL  A  FULL LINE OF TEXT!

If the party has a habbit of repeating the perfomance, it puts others who have

that iffy feeling, about a deal on notice as simply want re-assurance.

Sellers who use feedback to post 'false positives' will have the FB removed when the buyer complains. The false positive is a reportable misuse of the feedback system.

Which goes on your Seller Account.
