Might want to check your computer/device for malware.

Could you have accidentally pressed a keyboard shortcut to change your monitor display accessibility settings to white on black display for the visually impaired? I did that once by mistake. It was alarming.

I deleted all cookies from the past week and it cleared it up. Was probably from one of those.
