That's the other thing that I find annoying, why should Canada Customs, PB etc. get the benefit of the doubt, it's like saying all things taxed and be damned what's except.
Like guilty until proven innocent, but we're not in Rome.
Regardless, since the tires were described as bicycle tires in the description, that should be good enough for the computer to make them except from the PST in B.C, but yet it isn't, or so it appears to be.
That's assuming that I was charged the PST ?
In the end, it shouldn't really matter what's on the tire and where it's made, it's only convenient to suit the people who collect the tax and it seems to be set up to their advantage.
I have the same problem buying car parts out of the UK, it has to be on the invoice stating that the parts are made in the UK, or EU.
The trouble is that it isn't printed or stated on there normally.
And BTW, they are made in the UK.
Yes Michelin's are generally good tires, but the factory that makes them for bicycles and cars/SUV's etc. are two different entities.
Auto tires can be made anywhere in the world.
If I choose to do something, it will be by mail, not so much to try and get my lousy 17 bucks back, but just to see what I can accomplish.
