Attempted Delivery - Item being held, addressee being notified

Hello ,

Today I found Information on eBay , and USPS that my Order was Out for Delivery , at 9:14am knock on door 3 times and return to Sender ?

I was cleaning snow at this time , no one came ,no footsteps .

The previous scan shows arrived at Post Office .

I called UPS, DHL, CP no one has my Parcel .

I called eBay to  get information who was courier , they told me  to wait until expected delivery date I'm cover with money guarantee.

The Item value is CDN$ 1000 , I believe there is Customs to pay as Item was held in Customs one week .

I don't want it to Return to Sender , the Seller will think I didn't want to pay customs , and not want them to go thru this at all .

Since Item is released from Customs Canada I can track on USPS Site ONLY , not CP .

I don't have any information about local couriers  .

I want Item , waited for a years to buy it .

This is horrible, what happening with Postal Services now days . Whom to trust  to get item ?

Is anyone know  where to look for it  before   Item returns .

Was the package sent directly from the seller to you or was it sent through eBay global shipping program or eBay international standard?  Because of Covid most companies will not deliver directly to the recipient if there is money owing on it for customs but they should notify you and let you know where it needs to be picked up.  It’s  possible that the info on the usps site isn’t 100% accurate so I would wait another day to see if you get more info.  

In most cases a parcel is held a couple of weeks before being sent back so you should have some time.

If so, the same advice still holds.

Don't watch the tracking obsessively. There are too many ways it can be inaccurate or out of date.

Was there a Notice in your mail box?

Whoever the carrier, and it is usually Canada Post they will leave a delivery notice.

Human nature-- many guys delivering will put the notice of delivery on the computer before they get into the truck. They shouldn't ... but....

And of course things go wrong then.

Has the last date for delivery passed?

The Seller shipped by Priority Mail USPS .

The Item was released from Customs , Tracking shows Arrival at Post Office , Attempted Delivery Abroad , Out for Delivery .....

This all shows on USPS.com

The Tracking # is not  valid on any Post office in Canada  I checked.

There is no Card left , no one came to my place at all.

Make me think that they laying OR Driver was lazy walk on snow  then wrote that knock on the door.

It's my understanding that Canada Post is not allowing their delivery person to have direct interaction with customers so I doubt that they would come to your door at all if there is customs and tax owing as then they would have to collect it.  It is possible that CP entered a specific code and that USPS interpreted it incorrectly.  But I don't understand why the tracking would not be showing on the CP website. What are the first two letters of the tracking number?

I went to ask Mail Man when he came to Delivery Mail. 

He delivery for 10 years on our street  and know house # .

He said no CP has my package , he'll bring it if is there.

I contact Seller to check with USPS .

The Seller said ,  it's delay   during this situation.

NO Card left .

I think the Card should be attach on door knob , as they don't have key of Mail Box .

No, it's not the same parcel. 

The expect delivery  date is Dec 12 /20 . for this one .

This is another Order  .

Beside CP , I saw  some white van with no name on it  , the  Man taking picture  from other side of the road  ( believe delivery proof ).

I found my Parcels  on front door  step , the same as CP delivery .

The first 2 letters are 

HJ

The Tracking # was never shown on CP Site .

I called Head Office they found Parcel by  Delivery address?

There  were Customs fees .

No explanation from CP .

I'm happy that I got it .

Hello Pansy, 

I am currently experiencing the exact issue you were having right now. Wondering which "head office" you inquired with because UPSP support wont help, as they're info shows its in canada, and there's "nothing they can do" and canada post shows the parcel was never scanned through on their website. My parcel is also around 1,000 and i just want the thing found. Hoping you can help with direction. Thanks.

If your  purchase is overdue you can open a Not Recieved dispute with eBay for 30 days after the delivery window eBay gave you closes.
