Being cheated to close a case.

paid by PayPal in full.

Product not arrived one month beyond latest delivery date.
I filed 'Money Back' case.
Seller said he will send replacement if I close the 'case.'
Sucker me! Being cheated by this Chinese guy, I closed the case.
It has been another 3 weeks, still not word of sending replacement.
I cannot file again a 'non-receiving' case with eBay -- they say it is already 'closed.'
So, I filed complaint against the Seller.
The eBay Resolution Centre sends me to PayPal. (Dud!)

Lesson learned:

1). Don't do business with this seller: awell-bo
2). Once you open a 'Money-back' case, don't deal with the seller. Let eBay deals with it.

I think I will quit eBay and go Amazon. Safer.

Being cheated to close a case.

Happy Yule!

All is not lost.!

Go to your Paypal account.

Find your original payment and open an Item Not Received Dispute in the PP Resolution Centre.

You'll find that at the top of the PP account page under Tools.

Ignore the Contact Seller suggestion.

We all know how that went.

Ask PP to step in and escalate to a Claim.

If the seller cannot prove delivery (not shipping, delivery) you will be refunded.

You have 180 days from Payment for a PP Claim.

And your life lessons for today:

Keep an eye of the last estimated delivery dates given by eBay and open Disputes when they pass.

Don't ever accept an offer of a replacement. There is a good chance that all the seller has is vapourware.

Don't close a case until you have either the money or the replacement. Preferably the former.

Don't be mad at yourself. It's hard to learn that other people are not as honest as you are.

Buyers who back their PP accounts with a credit card, can also make claims through the chargeback service of the card.
