However, you should ALWAYS - and I stress ALWAYS! - calculate the cost of the taxes and possibly duties into the decision to make a purchase internationally.

nothing you can do mumum21 but remind the buyer that they are responsible for tax and duties and should look into the limit they are allowed to import free of tax/duties before bidding. Looks like a case of uninformed buyer. Sorry you got a neg this was completely not your fault
