I buy an Item (GSM antenne) today, and pay a visa gift card. Previous all my purchases went through by using this visa gift card. But this time it doesn't go well. After contacted ebay.ca, I has been told the Seller require me to pay Credit card, or debit card, not a visa gift card.
Does this means ebay.ca give my payment info to seller?

Are you using Paypal to anonymize your financial information and keep it private?
With Paypal, all your information is hidden from the seller.
You also have Buyer Protection on your purchases for 180 days (six months) from payment.
The service is free to buyers, sellers pay a fee for each transaction.
I don't think gift cards can be attached to PP accounts, because they are so limited.
But bank accounts/debit cards and credit cards can be.
Most eBay sellers do not have merchant accounts which would allow them to take credit and debit cards directly. Nor to process gift cards.

No by law eBay wouldn't be allowed to provide sellers with buyers credit card information. We only get your name, address, etc.

BTW-- While most eBay sellers don't have merchant accounts, some, usually those who also operate a B&M business, do take cards directly.
When our shop was still open, we did that and advertised as such on eBay. The buyer would send the cc number usually in two emails as a sort of rough protection.
But even our shop customers, who happily handed over cards at the cash, preferred to use Paypal online with us.
The fees to the seller are about the same. (30 cents per transaction, 2.9% for domestic cards, 3.7% for non-Canada cards).
