Can't leave feedback on cancelled order?

Heard this situation so many times and i think i got tricked with this dishonest pratice for the first time. I bought something at very good price and seller cancelled saying there was a problem with my adress and shipping cost. I thought he was honest and he would set up the listing back. His first-two messages were about packing my order, before cancelling. I just noticed the seller changed his username. Proving he is active. While ghosted my messages asking to list up back. At this point i highly suspect he's tricking me to back out of the transaction, and potentially try to hide himself with a username change.

I see there is no feedback option for this cancelled order? So really ebay fully allow this totally unethical pratice? People doing this should literally be banned, and we cannot even leave them a neg? And no selling defect because they select the grey zone 'problem with adress'? How frustrating is that in buyers shoes.

So really sellers are fully free to runaway with that?

I used to see feedbacks about orders getting cancelled. We can't anymore?

I think it depends on the reason for the cancellation. Sometimes sellers cancel order because they thought they should have gotten more money (in auction for example) or other reasons "problem with order", "no longer have item", etc. Feedback should be allowed with those but if it is for "problem with buyers address" maybe it's not allowed since if there really was a problem with the address it would not be the fault of the seller. Since there are so many guarantees and proof of delivery etc the correct address has to be used so maybe that is why. You may know your address is correct but they must be seeing a "problem with address" message.

Seller at first told me there was a problem with my adress but it was all lies. I figured it was under authenticity guarantee and he actually had to ship to ebay, not my adress. He just confirmed once he figured that i figured, this morning, that he won't relist for me and wants more for the item. I paid buy it now price. This is a clear and without any assumptions a case of abuse of the cancellation process. And i can't leave neg.

That sucks, probably he panicked not knowing how the guarantee works. I would have thought you could leave feedback but because problem with address was used (whether true or not) may be the reason you can't.

If a seller cancels an order for a false reason, you can report them and they'll likely get a defect on their account. If you feel they're being dishonest, you should definitely do so. If there was a clear mistake, there's probably no reason to since eBay has very limited options to choose from that often don't fit the situation.

@rocketscollectibles

eBay will routinely send reminders to sellers to leave feedback for both non-payment and problem with address. (Unsure if associated buyers get the same reminders...when/if they can in these situations?) To my mind there is really no good feedback to leave so I just ignore. You can also archive the transactions if that makes you feel better. Unsure what happens when you use the archive method. Eventually the reminders do stop.

You should be able to leave feedback if you go to your own feedback page, scroll to the bottom and click on leave feedback.  The transactions that you can leave feedback for will come up.

Can't leave feedback on cancelled order?

So. To put in context, the item i purchased was an auction with a starting bid of $100 with a buy it now of $300. I purchased right away $300. After contacting today telling me he cancelled because he actually wanted more. Just noticed, he relisted the item in auction, with a starting bid of $300. What an **bleep**. He basically used me as information to restart his auction from my win. I'm totally boiling seeing that. I don't understand why this should not deserve a ban.

Checked everywhere i can't find. Usually it's 7 days before being able to leave a feedback, i wonder if it's applied and why i can't now?

So when you go to your own feedback page and click on leave feedback that transaction doesn't come up?

The 7 days is only for negative feedback and for TRS. You would still see the option to leave positive feedback.
