Help needed.
I'm in Canada. I cancelled an order from the U.S. and printed a prepaid shipment label with International eBay carrier DHL to return the item. DHL was supposed to pick up the item on June 16, but never showed up.
There is no way to reach DHL staff. I have no instructions from eBay and cannot find any information on eBay's handling of DHL's lockout in Canada.
Anyone has any clues?
Thanks.

Is there a DHL outlet, including a shop that takes shipments for the company, in your area?
Have you tried dropping your package off there?
Note that since it is the COMPANY that is on strike, not the workers, there won't be a picket line, but the doors to an actual office would likely be locked.
You should also, in your Claim, let the seller know your quandry. Include a scan of the label if you can, it won't hurt.
I hope you and your seller are both being calm and professional about this disagreement instead of getting into a shouting match. That would hurt.

I have a similar problem - I dropped a return to Staples/DHL the day they went on strike. So I got a receipt saying it's dropped off, with the tracking #, but it's processed by DHL. I have spoken to ebay via chat twice and in person again. They are quite clueless about the lockout. My deadline for getting my money back is tomorrow, and I will be very upset if it closes... Arrgh.

And yes - there is no info anywhere about the DHL lockout and they are still using them for returns in Canada!!!
