Hello! Has anyone noticed that for some listings, on search view it displays one shipping fee, then when you click on the item's listing it shows a different fee (usually a higher fee)? It started happening yesterday. I contacted one of the sellers and asked her which is the correct shipping fee. On search view it was about $5, but when I clicked on the listing it said it was about $10. The seller replied and said it should be about $5. Later on, I noticed more sellers' listings had this discrepancy in the shipping fees displayed. Today, the listing of the seller I contacted is showing the wrong shipping fees (the higher one) on both search view and on her listing. I also noticed that shipping fees for several of my saved auctions also suddenly inflated. What's going on?

Sellers are allowed to Revise their listings so long as there are no bids.
It may be that when you asked the seller, she looked at the S&H section of her listing templates and noticed that current postal rates were not reflected.
There are commonly changes in Canada Post and USPS rates in January.
It is also possible that you saw the domestic rate (USA) in your first Search and the International (Canada) rate on your second. That the seller thought that $5 was correct could happen if you were not clear that you are in Canada . It is always useful to add a postal code when you ask for shipping quotes.

Yes, I was clear that it's to Canada and her reply also showed that she was clear on that. I'm positive this is not due to the sellers revising the shipping costs.
No one else has noticed this?

Try clearing your browser cache and temp files.
It most likely will not help but that is the first thing I do whenever I have issues with eBay. Clearing the browser seems to fix little issues many times.
Do you regularly clear your browser cache? I do it every day before I start my browser and whenever I can after to make sure I have no issues. It seems to minimize problems using the Internet for eBay and browsing anywhere. If you have never cleared your browser cache before, it can take a while.
With all of the USA changes in prices to USPS, I would not be surprised with mismatches in prices caused by the browser cache.
Hope this helps.

Hi! Thanks for your reply. I actually tried to use another browser to see if anything changes but nothing. 😞 Cleared cache and still nothing. 😞 Thanks for trying to help! I appreciate it. 😄

*Update* - o.k., so the seller checked with her post office and it seems that the shipping prices have gone up, however, the cost to ship my item (6 oz in weight) is now about $8 (from about $5), not $10 like the Ebay shipping calculator states. Could it be that Ebay's shipping calculator is overestimating the shipping fees?

I have noticed this. I'll search for items and the list of items will show shipping plus amount in Canadian. When you click the item the shipping can jump as much as $10.00us. In fact I just won an item on e-bay. Before I did(I was not the first bidder) the shipping was $3.00us (aprox $3.50cdn) After I won the shipping jumped to $16.60us (aprox $17.20cdn) I now have to pay more for shipping than I did for my item.

The U.S. domestic shipping rate for the Tyco Baja Dune Buggy is US$3.00. There's no way that anything like that can be shipped to Canada for that much unless the seller seriously subsidizes the shipping price.
Just out of curiosity, were you viewing the item on eBay Mobile or eBay.com instead of eBay.ca?
