Hi,
i bought an expensive item on Ebay ( $2600 ) last Friday i received an email from Intelcom tell me your package is delivered with attached to the email "proof" of signature which was a scribble of "N/A" and a picture with two packages on the floor.
After work I will go to the lobby and no package for me, no package on my front door. I live in a huge building with more than a hundred flats. So I called Monday intelcom after almost one hour on the phone. They found nothing wrong and confirmed the delivery address was good. Ask them about the signature they told is the standard procedure.
I don't understand what standard she is talking about because when i buy a high value item i need to move to Canada Post to sign myself or with DHL i can sign online and choose where i can go to pick up my package. So I ask Ebay to refund me because it is not acceptable to send with GSP with no delivery security for the buyer.
First they tell me yes I will receive a full refund. I received yesterday an email to confirm that and today Ebay told me I will receive no refund because the signature ( N/A) is good so move on. Now what ? intelcom gave me no update. Ebay changed their mind. I'm tired of fighting people because they don't do their work well. If you have any ideas, let me know.
Thanks

Reviewing the tracking information does show that package was signed for on delivery based on the history provided. Any individual who resides at the address would be able to sign for the package to confirm the delivery.
Hi, this part is interesting ^^ Does NA reside at the address? Does the driver? No? Then nobody who resides in your building signed for it, so IMO there is no confirmation of delivery.

The benefit of CP/USPS when signature is required Proof of Identification must be shown.
CP
When you pick up an item at the post office, you will need to show acceptable identification. It must be original, valid, government-issued photo ID with a unique identifier number. If the photo identification does not contain the address (for example, on a passport), proof of residency is required.
USPS
You must present valid photo ID if you choose to pick up your mail item at the Post Office™ facility indicated on the notice. You also need to bring in the PS Form 3849 left by the Carrier. Find out what forms of identification are acceptable at the Post office.Aug 18, 2021
Gen Notes Purolator:
*Your own item One piece of acceptable valid government-issued
photo ID with proof of address
*Important: The addressee may be required to personally pick up shipments that are of high value or government-issued or when requested by shipper. Chain of Signature shipments will be provided only to the addressee.
*Your own item One piece of acceptable valid government-issued
photo ID with proof of address
*An item on behalf of another person
or of a “home-based” business at the address at which you live
One piece of acceptable government-issued photo ID indicating residence at
the address to which the item is addressed
*An item on behalf of another individual at an address at which you do not live
One piece of acceptable government-issued photo ID and a Letter of
Authorization as a legal document demonstrating your authority to act
on the addressee’s behalf
UPS: Identical to above.
Intelcom:
*According to your agreement with the merchant, your package may be left in a place deemed safe by the delivery person.
If there’s no secure location to leave the package at the delivery address, it will be returned to the warehouse and delivered the next business day.
*If a customer doesn’t receive their package, we suggest that they make a claim with the merchant with whom they placed their order.
*Parcels delivered to wrong address:
If your package wasn’t delivered to you in person, you should have received a delivery photo by email. If you don’t recognize the location of the package in the photo and you haven’t been able to retrieve it, you must make a claim with the merchant from whom you made your purchase.
Can anyone report attempting this and winning?
From a personal experience with an incorrect package from UPS, I contacted UPS for a pickup to redeliver. When it was apparent no one from UPS was going to show I contacted consignee and they picked up from my home. (Much easier to resolve when a phone number is included on the delivery label. That's unfortunately always not available.)
Is what is noted above being followed to the letter? Only you can judge by personal experience/second hand reports.
In reviewing my personal Intelcom shipments, there is no field that I can see for signature required and have never been asked.

I second that. I had a parcel that was "delivered" on April 5 2022 and apparently Intelcom just left the item outside the building I live in. And of course it was stolen. Trying to get a refund now...
