Global Shipping to Canada is VERY discouraging

The Global shipping cost estimate to ship 6 drinks coasters from the UK to Canada is an extortionate CDN $90.00. This is completely out of order. Ship direct and skip this block to selling

The GSP is made up of the Canadian duty, the Canadian sales taxes, and a ~$5 service fee.

The $90 quote sounds very high for that.

I suspect your seller has chosen an expensive shipping service to deliver the coasters to the GSP plant.

From the plants, shipments are palletted and shipped together to the appropriate countries, where they are passed to a local shipper, usually Canada Post.

How much is the seller charging for domestic shipping?

Shipping to the European Union?

Have you contacted the seller to ask if she will remove the GSP or why she thinks the charges are so high?

We don't see many UK/GSP questions, but US sellers are notorious for using USPS Priority shipping instead of the cheaper, tracked and Delivery Confirmed First Class Parcel International which does the same job.

Also keep in mind that the GSP relies on accurate information from the seller in order to calculate its charges. If the seller provides the GSP with no information or information that’s off-base on an item’s shipping size and weight, the GSP “bot” will apply an estimate based on the item’s category. Averages being what they are, this means that small, lightweight shipments get stuck with disproportionately high shipping charges.

Most instances of the GSP calculating out of line charges are due to something the seller has done (or not done). Garbage in, garbage out.
