Hi all....another unusual thing is happening and need help from the pros!! I bought 2 minecraft quilts at the begginning of January and the listing stated 6 weeks to make. I agreed and figured it will make it in time for my needs as well as ebays 45 day policy. Anyway, last week I emailed them to ask how it was going, nothing!! A few days later I emailed her again....finally she emailed me yesterday saying it would be done next week. Well I have till Saturday to leave feedback....what do I do?? What if she has no intension of sending it and taking my money!! I ordered 2 of these in different sizes

Thanks ahead of time

Get a dispute started - right away. Don't let the 45 days go by.

File with PayPal today.   Not tomorrow: do it today.

First step is to get your money back. If the seller ever ships and you receive the items in satisfactory condition, you can arrange payment at that time (after receipt).

"Well I have till Saturday to leave feedback"

???

While you have only 45 days from date of payment to file a claim with PayPal for non receipt, you have 60 days from date of purchase to post feedback.

I would suggest that you do not email her. I may look like a threat.

Well I explained to her my concern if something went wrong in delivery etc and I was nice about it. She has now  emailed me back asking if she could just refund me  and then when she is done I can resend the money which is okay I guess.

Re: No item yet and almost at my 45 days

To get a refund now is OK

"and then when she is done I can resend the money which is okay I guess."

NO.  That is not OK.

You put yourself in the same position again and without the protection of eBay this time.

Your money, your choice.

If it were me, I would not do it.  You are dealing with a supplier (vendor) who has been proven unreliable. Why gamble?

Re: No item yet and almost at my 45 days

Pierre, is right.

How close are you to the forty five day limit ? If you are close, file now.

Some sellers know how to work the system & will tell you what you want to hear, a day past the forty five day limit. After the time limit expires i doubt you will ever hear from the seller again.

They know you will lose your chance to receive a refund.

Why the hesitation ?  Act now.

Don't want you coming back on here kvetching that you couldn't receive a refund because a dishonest strung you along past the forty five day limit.

So, I guess I shot myself in the foot!! She sent the refund....can I ask her to relist it as a new auction??

Re: No item yet and almost at my 45 days

Glad you got your refund.

You can breath easier now & get your foot wound stitched up.

I think this seller should have the quilts made beforehand & ready to ship upon receiving payment.

Unless they are custom made to your specifications, why wait six weeks.

Are there not comparable quilts available ready to ship upon payment ?

Oh I  know...I thought the same thing but she is relatively new to ebay. The quilts are handmade by her and there is nothing of its kind out in retail.

What do I do when she wants the money to ship them out....should I just ask her now to make a new listing for me or would that cost her more money?

Oh and I got 1 of the listings refunded but the other is not showing it. I have 2 seperate emails for each individual quilt but not the auction #....does this matter?

I don't understand. Do you have the money for both in your PayPal account or for just one? If it's just one, file a claim for the other immediately.

While I basically agree with all the posters above, FILE NOW, it is worth noting that if you pay for the item outside of eBay with Paypal you are covered by PP's Buyer Protection Policy, which is very similar to the eBay/PP policy.

If you back your PP payment with your credit card (as opposed to a bank withdrawal or a PP balance) you have further protection from the cc's chargeback feature.
