Waiting for Sellers Reply to an Warranty on an Item purchased

Does anyone get a respond from sellers with regards to warranty of a item ?

I purchased an HID kit back in 09/11/2020. One of the ballast shorted out. Trying to get a reply from the seller with regards to warranty. It is 13 days and still no responds. Just want to know whether I get a replacement or puchase another ballast. Starting to get annoyed.

Unless the seller specifically mentions a warranty you should assume there is no warranty of any kind offered by the seller.

You may qualify for warranties offered by the manufacturer but many companies only support warranties when the purchase was made from an authorized dealer. Sellers on eBay may be authorized dealers but in many if not most they are not.

Given the time frame involved probably your only option is to contact the manufacturer directly.

Since the machine was purchased last year, it is doubtful that eBay's 30 day Money Back Guarantee, Paypal's 180 day Buyer Protection, or your credit card's chargeback policy will cover you.

If the seller is an authorized dealer, which is doubtful, you can apply to the manufacturer directly. I am assuming that you purchased it New In Box and that you sent in the warranty card promptly.

Most manufacturers will not honour warranties on goods not sold by authorized dealers, since there is no papertrail certifying proper handling, or even that the seller owned the item.

Purchase another ballast.
