I was browsing about rose quartz pendants. And saw an interesting one that was marked 925 silver with a rose quartz but made in india. Would you trust it? Now don't get me wrong. It still is gorgeous and would be a nice gift to someone. But if I am buying silver it should be silver not something else.

What does the seller's feedback say? Is it a fair price for actual silver?
Would you return it if it were not?

I think he means the item was not listed on eBay. There may be no customer comment to help.
Metals trade in an international market.
Compare the weight of the item with the bullion cost of the metal.
Remember that labour will usually raise the cost, although Indian workers are paid much less than European workers for equally fine work.
Some worked pieces may be sold as scrap, however the bullion price is still what you need to pay attention to.
If the price of the item is BELOW the bullion price.... use your common sense.
And read the feedback, particularly the negative and neutral for patterns of slow delivery, poor communication and false descriptions.
There's nothing wrong with wearing pretty baubles that are purely costume, but they should not be sold as fine jewelry.

There are certain things that should be bought... in person...
I have heard of times when someone buys it , when marked as 925... and it was fake... from China.
I found a teapot marked as silver at a garage sale.... it was not marked as 925, and it was tested as not being 925, or even silver..... Paid a very low garage sale price so I was not worried.
It is one thing to have someone say it is silver 925..... and it is something critical to see and feel it in person.
Considering where it is and what the problem would be if it was fake and had to be returned.
My personal choice would be to leave it where it is.
Buy something locally... in person and spend your money wisely.
HIgh priced items, whether silver or gold, should be bought in person from a most reputable seller.

Are you saying that the seller’s feedback shows Item Not Received complaints?
