Canada Post has an option called .....  Flex Delivery.

Parcels will be delivered to a designated postal outlet as opposed to a residence,  or a community mailbox.  

Have the parcels delivered to a location close to work (or elsewhere just to have the parcels at a safe location) where the parcels can be picked up on the way home.....during lunch time .... or whenever convenient.

Canada Post received world wide recognition of this new option for mail delivery.

The other option is very simple:

Do not safe drop.

Select a service when sending that requires signature or that has an option for "Do not safe drop".

I know everyone complains about postal services but I think it's time that everyone read up on what services are offered. This doesn't just mean consumers or small business, but also big business. They should offer this service directly by asking customers if they want to have a secure delivery etc. I'm surprised this type of online service hasn't happened yet, normally the companies are the first to try out money grabs.
