Hurry!
http://mashable.com/2017/02/06/cheeto-that-looks-like-harambe/?utm_cid=hp-r-5#_ChSus29emqF
You can finally have a Cheeto that looks like Harambe ... for $99,999
First of all, RIP Harambe. Second, be really careful when you eat your Cheetos.
The beloved gorilla, who was killed after he dragged a child who fell into his cage at the Cincinnati Zoo, instantly became an internet sensation last year. He was a candidate people actually voted for for president, and pretty much a symbol of everything that is good and righteous and innocent in the world.....

There's bids on that (they don't ship to Canada, lol!) I wonder if it is just people fooling around.
Plus there's a second one that looks identical to the first. There can't be 2 that are THAT absolutely the same. Someone must be pulling some legs somewhere,
and now this,

Oh, and that top one, it has the weirdest bid history I have ever seen. All those NARUs? Very strange.

Maybe the lead bidder is looking to re-sell?
02-07-2017 03:21 AM
There sure is something strange about it. The top one ends in about a half hour. But what is the 2nd one doing? Jumping the gun if they think they'll be getting it. And what's to say that they could possibly break even if they did? What if they don't get it and have this other listed, what then? Or will they just send the closest the can find once they get back from the store?
If ANY of those bids on the 1st one are serious I hope they know they are not supporting any wildlife foundation or anything like that. It's all just too silly, must be people joking.
And no end of copycats, of course. lol!

I wonder if that one includes the stick. Description doesn't specify.
02-07-2017 03:45 AM
LOL! Actually some of these things are so stupid they're funny, the lengths people will go to. :-D
A rabbit doing the macarena?
and of course, it was just a matter of time,
I'm getting goofy. Time I turned in! 🙂

And to think my kids have just been eating their cheesies like it's nobody's business. Literally eating me out of house and home!

But I can't seem to find the original listing. The one that was at 132 bids and $99,990 USD when I last looked at it with less than 14 minutes to go.....

Just poking around, this story is all over the internet.
Even though I think it all very juvenile and dumb, something like this can do more for attracting viewers to eBay than any amount of advertising. All for free. Not to mention what it does for Cheetos sales.
I didn't recall the story of Harambe, I maybe heard of it but confused it with the other story earlier about the boy who fell in a gorilla enclosure in the UK, and that story ended well,

and there was this one, too,

What's with all these kids falling into gorilla enclosures?
Well my favorite zoo clip is this one (for those who enjoy video clips, not everyone does),

I really don't have the nerve to list it. That's why I enjoyed eBay more when we had things like the Ugly Listing contest, one could list silly items - like a loon shaped peanut.

I agree. I wouldn't have the nerve either. Like those folks who drew crayon faces on chicken eggs and called them Hatchimals at Christmas. But is it good advertising for eBay? Or does it paint the site as a den of thieves? I wonder.
Look at this one with the stick now:

I needed a good laugh today. Thanks
Just finished digging out of a 2 foot snowfall!
