I get an indication on my selling page that a potential buyer has a question. I click on Respond and it takes me to the message page, but there is no message showing up.... just blank space. This just started today (Aug. 18). Nothing shows up on message activity page. Sent a response to buyer that I could not see their question. They were able to send an answer but it only showed up in my Yahoo mail, not on ebay. Is there a technical problem?

I had something like that happen the other day, the question was in my email but not in my Messages.
I believe the question was some sort of scam and deleted it.
Not all sales are worth having.

Thanks for your input. I thought it might be a scam as well, but now it has happened a second time. I contacted ebay and the customer rep was able to read some messages from potential buyers that I was not able to see. I am guessing there might be a technical problem of some sort. Will have to wait 48-72 hours to see if it gets sorted out.
I am feeling frustrated because I don't want potential buyers to think I am ignoring them.

There is one other way to locate I figured out after some trial and error. When you are on your Sellers Hub page --- Manage Active listings--- There is a column labeled Actions. You are able to sort. (You may have to sort more than once) It should bring up any listings that have questions or Offers. Quite often though it is possible you have already responded but that particular question has not updated. If you have responded previously, there should be a drop-down attached to the event where you can mark as read. Not EVERYTHING in Sellers Hub is in real-time.
On a side note, (Warning, Warning Warning), recently(Thursday) I discovered if I tried using the Create Label on the Overview page it was bringing me to a corrupt link. Use the Create Label on Orders page instead, it brought me to Shippo with no issues. Now I avoid the Tasks route at all costs.

PS. Let "Customize" on your Active Listings page be your friend. It can be extremely useful.

Thanks for your advice. I think there must have been a glitch in the system. A while ago 17 messages appeared in my inbox. They were not there earlier this morning. Have finally caught up and responded to all. I was even able to click the respond button for an unanswered question and got to see a message as well as reply to it. Sure hope it doesn't happen again..... whole experience must have taken a couple of hours - searching for answers, calling ebay, trying to respond, etc. Much rather would have spent the time outside in the sun!

Messages IN eBay are definitely on major tape delay. Mine show up immediately to my personal email address. As for in eBay they arrive on their own schedule, if at all. Sometimes even out of order. Maybe messages have to be prescreened prior to forwarding due to national security concerns, similar to the Muller Probe? Hmmmm???
