Ebay wants me to close my account after 23 years ???

I've been told to close my account because when I registered back in 1997 in Canada their was only a Ebay.com site. Now with the managed Payment Registration Ebay cant migrate all my feedback into the Ebay.ca site. What kind nonsense is this ? All my items are stuck in limbo because I past the deadline, Not my fault I have a active bank account in Canada but Ebay wants me to open a bank account in the USA.

Whoa, holy crossed wires, Batman. There’s either been a misunderstanding or the rep you talked to was outside having a smoke break when they should have been attending a training session.

The issue of longtime Canadian eBay sellers registered on the .com site is one that seems to be throwing a serious monkey wrench into the Managed Payments registration process. To overcome this obstacle, you shouldn’t have to register a new eBay ID, and you don’t need a US-based checking account to accept payments.  (It likely wouldn't work anyway.)

I suggest you look for threads like this one and read up on how other sellers in the same boat are faring:

After that, call customer service again and make sure you ask for a Managed Payments specialist. If all goes well—and it may not—you should get someone better trained who knows what they’re talking about.

i am a Canadian on here for 22 years as well and am having a terrible time trying to refund a shipping discount to people. Today he asked me to remove my credit card info and reinstall it and now it wont take the card because it says it cannot be verified. Yesterday they asked me to open up an Unable to refund Claim with my buyer. I said screw that, you guys created this problem when you removed paypal so you fix it! Thankfully my buyer provided me with his email address so I could etransfer his refund.
