Is there a way of finding out which buyer left me 1 star feedback for shipping charges? I know this feedback was left in October but that is all the info I have. My shipping charges are not outrageous in the least and I have a feeling this was left in error. Help anyone? There has to be a way to see who left 1-2 star feedback.

Pleased take a look at eBay's official policy:
http://pages.ebay.ca/help/feedback/detailed-seller-ratings.html
"Because detailed seller ratings are anonymous, sellers can't see which buyer gave them which rating. This means that buyers should feel free to be honest and open about their buying experience so sellers can get a more complete picture of their performance."

You can always figure out exactly what dsrs anyone left. ebay claims they are anonymous, but provides a tool to figure it out
just use the detailed seller ratings reports link on your dsashboard. Since you are sure its in OCt it won't take long at all. Run a report by item number of items before OCT. You need 10 who left dsrs, so use a few more then 10 item numbers. Then run the same report with the same item numbers, but add some item numbers from OCT. If the low dsr turns up, take out the oct items one by one. If it doesn't, add some more items from OCT. Once you have the suspect item number go back to your original set of items before OCT and add only it to confirm, as it can get confusing if you don't find it fast and have run a lot of reports.
You can run reports by time to narrow down when, but since you don't have a huge number I'd start right with item number

Ratings are added to a profile on the date the item was bought and not when feedback was left.

Even if the seller were able to find the name of the buyer after wasting a lot of time playing with reports, what does it matter.
The rules clearly forbid the seller from contacting the buyer to discuss DSRs.
Time to move on. We all get low ratings by mistake at one time or another. So what? It is not worth obsessing over it.

Some people have toknow who hurt them so they can keep the hurt alive. I do not understand it. My ex was good enough at doing that to me, why should I seek it out.
FB means nothing to me. DSR mean nothing. I cannot change what was. I can only do the best going forward.
So, someone hurt you feelings. What do you get for holding on to something like that?

You want to find out because you might find something that would get it removed. eg if someone left low dsrs who is selling in the same category, or looks to be leaving a lot of bad fb it may be bale to be removed. At the very least the seller would want to block them from being able to do it again. When punishment starts at 3 a year and them booting sellers with good looking fb you want to do what you can.

I cannot understand it either.
Sure some things are unfair in life, but who ever said life was fair.
If life was fair & everyone worked with honesty & integrity we would only need lawyers for real estate transactions.

I had a buyer who opened a claim because a package has not arrived, the first I had heard about it. I refunded immediately, and a couple of days later she left negative feedback saying she had to ask Paypal to send a refund. A few days later there appeared a "1" in every category. I called eBay, because I didn't see how she could leave a 1 for item not as described when she hadn't received it. I was told that eBay can't see who left the low DSR's. It's just something you have to live with.
I recently got a "1" for communication, I don't think anyone could communicate any more than I do. Buy hey, maybe they wanted my life story!

Frustrating, but unfortunately we come across buyers like that from time to time.
I vented my frustrations a couple of weeks backs in regards to refunds but feel the majority of buyers are still " Top Shelf."

I pretty much wore out my refund button this week. Got hit with a string. The annoying one was this morning. Snotty case opened, escalated, DEMAND for refund due to INR, all in the same breath. Excuse me, Israel, it is a war zone. Three weeks is not a lot of time.
What would be more frustrating would be fighting it.
