Just received this, but it will mean changing item location from US to Canada on my listings if I use this service:
We want to provide an important update regarding the upcoming U.S. tariffs. Based on the latest developments today, the 30-day pause on tariffs is not expected to be extended, and tariffs are anticipated to take effect on Tuesday, March 4, for goods entering the U.S. from Canada.
At this time, it remains unclear whether Section 321 (de minimis program) shipments will be impacted. We have reached out to CBP (U.S. Customs) and our partnered customs brokers, but no confirmed information is available yet. As soon as we receive official clarification, we will provide an update.
New: Canada Post DDU Shipping is Now Live!
To ensure uninterrupted parcel movement, even if de minimis is no longer an option, we have launched Canada Post DDU (Duty Delivery Unpaid) shipping across all regions!
With Canada Post DDU, your shipments will still reach U.S. customers, regardless of upcoming tariff changes.
How Canada Post DDU Works:
✔ If tariffs are implemented – Duties & taxes will be paid by the recipient upon delivery.
✔ If tariffs are not implemented – Shipments will clear under Section 321 as usual, meaning there will be no duties/taxes passed on to the end customer, with no other additional charges whatsoever.
Seamless cross-border shipping, no matter what happens next week.
Available Canada Post DDU Services (Live as of Today!):
📦 Canada Post Tracked USA
• ETA: 5-8 business days
• Weight Limit: Up to 2kg (4.4lbs)
• Max Dimensions: 108 inches
📦 Canada Post Expedited USA

📦 Canada Post Xpresspost USA

What You Should Do Next:
💡 We recommend switching to Canada Post DDU immediately if you want to ensure smooth shipments amid tariff uncertainty. This option ensures your shipments continue moving, no matter what happens next week.
We will send another update as soon as we receive more details on the tariffs. If you have any questions, feel free to reply back directly to this email.
Best regards,
The Stallion Team

For what it's worth, even though there's a risk of being charged return shipping, it almost never happens. I have no idea what criteria Canada Post uses to determine which packages should be charged return shipping.
Based on my experience at the postal counter, it's pretty much unheard of for any international packages that get returned. It's somewhat common with domestic shipments (not saying it can't happen, as others in this thread have indicated, but I've never seen it in 10 years of working Canada Post retail). Granted a lot of the people I deal with at the counter are non-business folks, so it's possible that if you're business account is attached to the label they could just bill you for it (this gets more complicated with eBay labels considering they'd technically be billing eBay's Canada Post account and the cost would be passed along to you). But I've personally never heard of Canada Post billing a small business account for return postage.

From Stallion:
We wanted to provide you with an update on the ongoing tariff situation. Based on the latest announcement from the White House (link here) and our conversation with CBP today, it looks like Section 321 (the de minimis program) remains unaffected for now. This means Stallion shipments will not be impacted by the new tariffs set to take effect tomorrow.
That being said, we are still awaiting final confirmation. We will be closely monitoring shipments and will send you a 100% confirmed update first thing in the morning once we successfully process shipments across the border.
If there are no changes, we’ll also reactivate our FBA cross-border shipping service on the Stallion portal tomorrow.
Please stay tuned for tomorrow’s update, and let us know if you have any questions.
Best,
The Stallion Team

I just got the same message 1 minute ago... I think to be safe I'll stay offline until tomorrow and turn the store back on when they give official confirmation.
My source at Stallion said they would notify us as soon as they knew what was happening.
I'm on Chit Chat's mailing list and haven't seen any announcements from them today.

For what it's worth.... when you fill out Canada Posts online customs form it says,
Parcel Details:
Non-Deliverable: Return the parcel (at my expense)
This is the option I choose for all my rare vintage photographs and comic books.
I haven't had any returns from Canada Post in the last 6-7 years but I've had a few non-deliveries from Swedan and South Africa that were just dropped off in my mail box at no extra charge.

Yes, the wording makes it seem like you will be charged for the return shipping.
What I'm saying is that in practice, it very rarely happens (as you've experienced personally with your international shipments).
