Another Official Update from Stallion (regarding tariffs)

There's no news on de minimis yet, but this is what Stallion sent me this morning:

***

As you may be aware, the 30-day pause on U.S. tariffs is set to expire, and new tariffs are expected to be implemented on Tuesday, March 4th. While we have not yet received confirmation on whether Section 321 shipments will be affected, we are making proactive adjustments to our operations on Monday, March 3rd, to help you avoid potential disruptions.

Monday, March 3rd – Adjusted Cutoff Times for U.S. Shipments
To ensure your weekend orders make it to the U.S. before potential tariffs take effect, please follow these adjusted schedules:

For Drop-Off Clients:

  • Drop off all U.S. shipments at our branches and Drop & Go locations by 2:00 PM local time (except BC – 12:00 PM local time). This does not apply to AB, as same-day U.S. processing won’t be available.

  • Branches will remain open for regular business hours, so you may continue dropping off Canadian and international shipments as usual after the cutoff.

  • We will ensure all U.S. shipments dropped off by the cutoff are processed and sent to the U.S. that same evening.

For Pickup Clients:

  • Our pickup drivers will arrive 3 hours earlier than your regular scheduled window on Monday to collect your shipments.

  • All U.S. shipments collected on Monday will be processed and sent to the U.S. that same evening.

After Monday, March 3rd – Shipping Guidance
For orders received after Monday’s cutoff times, we recommend:

  • Using our Canada Post DDU Service – This ensures packages continue moving even if tariffs take effect. If tariffs do not apply, shipments will go through as usual with no additional charges.

  • Waiting for our update on Tuesday, March 4th – If you want to avoid any possibility of your buyers paying duties or extra charges, you may hold your U.S. shipments until we have further clarity.

International Shipping Updates

  • Use PostNL for all international shipments – PostNL shipments do not pass through the U.S. and will continue operating as normal.

  • APC International service will be temporarily disabled – APC shipments go through the U.S. and could be affected by any tariffs, so we are suspending this service until we have further clarity.

We will send another update as soon as we receive confirmation on how the tariffs impact Section 321 shipments. In the meantime, please plan accordingly to avoid any disruptions to your U.S. shipments.

Thank you for your cooperation, and we appreciate your trust in Stallion Express.

Best Regards,

The Stallion Team
