The question is: will it allow ALL invited Canadian sellers to really get free listings on eBay.ca and eBay.cafr for every day of the sale?

The last two times, eBay.ca blew it.  They apologized but... never made good.

Not looking good.....the promo is showing in My eBay on .com but not on .ca

This could be the same screw-up as last time, the promo details page specifically mentions .ca but the promo is only showing for me on .com as being applicable to listings on .com

I tested the system this morning.

First, I bulk relisted two auction listings on eBay.cafr

Then I used "sell a similar item" function to relist another auction listing on eBay.cafr

All three listings were properly credited to the promotion.  However, note the dates and times very carefully.  I had an identical problem last time where the promotion on eBay.ca worked for one day only and did not appear the next!

Thanks for the heads up on the possibly of the sale giving us .ca sellers grief.

After years of my eBay. com seller ID never receiving an invite to the listing sales, then receiving them late after I started to complain on the boards, only finding them if I checked my messages on the site, Dot com sent me a personalized invite to my email address!

Since I have 4 sites, I received 2 messages from eBay. ca, (The newest ID is not allowed to list more then 80 items) I now have the evidence to note the difference between the two sites.

Dot Ca does not personalize the messages, and we are only allowed to list 1,000 items a day while on .com I can list 7,000.

Nothing to do with my status on either .com or .ca where my power seller site is.

Looking at the discrepancies between the two sites. Dot Ca sellers are being given a much shorter leash.

We also have to play the game of trial and error when it comes to the duration of the listings. Dot Com's tells you straight out, 5,7, or 10 days noted in the emails.

Thanks for posting the link to the official promo.

Odd that they use the exact same graphics in the emails from both sites, but dot ca does not include important information.

How sad is that?

Pierre it's showing those dates because you get 1000 per day. Tomorrow it will show tomorrows date.

"Tomorrow it will show tomorrows date."

That should be the way.

Unfortunately, in the last promotion, free listings on eBay.ca were not available after the first day (for some sellers).  They worked fine on eBay.com.

In the previous promotion, free listings were available on eBay.com but not on eBay.ca (for some sellers).  Listings on eBay.ca/cafr were deducted from the regular free listing allocation instead of the promotion.

I sent a message to Raphael overnight, so far I've has two responses, I'll wait for the third one before I make my comments public.

There's still a chance they can fix this (but they might have to learn how to read).

I didn't get an email but when I look my ebay page it showed that I had the promo on ca. Since then I've listed on both sites and the listings were credited to the promo on each site.

Looking at my Selling Manager (on .com) this morning, I see no mention of the eBay.ca promo while the eBay.com promo shows validity for a week;

It's absolutely bonkers! I have the eBay.ca one but not the .com one.

I'm still waiting for the rest of my credit from the last debacle. Got refunded for the first day of listings on .ca, but not the other days. On the phone again, I guess. Gawd!

Have you tried listing on .com to see if you will be charged? My selling manager listed the promo on one site only but once I listed on both sites it showed a running total for both sites.

"My selling manager listed the promo on one site only but once I listed on both sites it showed a running total for both sites."

That is the way it should be working.

However, in the last two promotions, listings on eBay.ca/cafr were not counted under the promotion but deducted from the regular monthly allocation. The "free listings" were properly allocated when listing on eBay.com.

Amen to that!  I believe when a person made a mistake, then apology then it should NOT be another mistake but here we go, they did made 2nd mistake!!  eBay, come on!!  Be fair to us if you offer the free listings promo, to both com and ca!!

I received the invitation late in the day yesterday .... which isn't unusual since when I do get an invitation, it comes at the end of the first day of the promo.  However, if I list earlier in the day, I find that I am in fact eligible but do not see the actual invite until later.

Yesterday, though, I tried a couple of listings on both .ca and .com and was charged for both.  So I assumed I wasn't eligible.  This morning, I noticed that I did get an invitation late yesterday so I again tried listings on both .ca and .com and again was charged for both.  Has anyone else who has experienced this got any resolution and, if so, how -- a phone call to eBay or an e-mail to Raphael?

Thanks.

An update ... for anyone who has the same issue.

I spoke to an eBay CSR and he confirmed that I was eligible for the promo because he could see the eBay message with the invitation.  However, he couldn't see the promo under Promotional Offers.

He told me to go ahead and list until the 19th and, when I get my next invoice, I'm to call eBay and provide them with the Reference # he gave me and they will credit all the listings made during the promotional period which conform to the provisions of the offer.  Also, he told me to ensure that I didn't delete the eBay message with the invite.
