Any known issue at Gateway MIssissauga or with Canada Post tracking not updating?

i've got 2 packages behaving oddly.  One is an outgoing package to BC that i took to the PO Monday morning.  Normally, it would be picked up on Monday and go directly  to Gateway Miss. where it would be scanned and sent on its way by Tuesday morning.  But the status is still 'Item accepted at the Post Office' with no updates since i took it in to the PO.   It's for sure not still sitting at the PO where i took it.

 

The other package is an incoming Amazon package for me.  It would normally have been picked up Tuesday morning by Canada Post and taken to my local PO for me to pick up.  But it's status is still 'Electronic information submitted by shipper'.  I've never seen Canada Post fail to pick up an Amazon package on time.

 

Anyone else having similar issues with packages in or around the GTA?

Yes, similar thing I noticed (and I'm in GTA) I took a package going to US to post office on the weekend. My tracking showed May 13th Foreign Acceptance, then nothing until afternoon of May 16th - "Original Post is Preparing Shipment". Normally it would have in between that "Item processed Mississauga" but that part was skipped. Good news is from then on everything has been normal but for some unknown reason the Mississauga scan didn't seem to happen.

something's definitely up at Gateway, although it doesn't appear too serious.  My outgoing package to BC has just showed up in Richmond BC.  So it was processed a few days ago, but there were zero scans.

 

And the incoming Amazon package that's late showed up at another CP facility in Toronto today, instead of Gateway, like they always do.

 

And i have 2 other incoming packages that were shipped via Canada Post and both of them also went to this other Toronto facility instead of Gateway.

 

So, something is going on at Gateway that packages are being redirected elsewhere but i don't think it's too serioius as delays seem to be very minimal; a day or two.

Hello,

 

I only had one parcel this week and it went through Gateway without issue.  It was sent on Monday.  I live in Brampton.  That being said as a customer I've had parcels miss scans all the way until it was "out for delivery" Who knows what goes on when that happens.

 

I'm sure everything will eventually get to where it needs to be.

Did you track it on Canada Post.ca?   Or on eBay.ca?

 

In my experience, sometimes eBay.ca shows nothing, but Canada Post.ca shows everything.

Sometimes, tracking on eBay.ca is days behind. Even worse, when Canada Post.ca shows "Delivered", eBay.ca shows nothing, or never shows "Delivered" at all.

i always track on CP's website.   I don't trust Ebay's tracking at all, for Canada.
