Any success with refunds from Shippo to original payment method?

Hello,

I'm new to selling on eBay and had a question regarding the use of SHIPPO. Has anyone every successfully been able to get a refund back onto their credit card or PayPal account?

I ran into an issue trying to purchase a label to send a package on Shippo's website. I ended up using my credit card, and when I went through to confirm the purchase it stayed in a loading screen for over 10 minutes. Eventually the screen froze and I closed the window and tried clicking on cancel as well.

After doing this, no label was showing in my account and no purchase history. So, I ended up trying again but ran into the exact same issue. I got fed up, and sent the item through Canada Post. I received an email on my way to ship the item that Shippo had charged me for two labels despite the issues I was having. Once I got home, sure enough there were two of the exact same labels in my account. I never used them, and requested a refund ($48.88) and contacted Shippo explaining my situation and that I was requesting a refund. They did get back to me and stated that they'll gladly issue a refund, but only as an account credit. This is never outlined in their Terms of Use, which I found odd.

I've tried contacting my credit card company, but they have been unhelpful regarding this and advised there is nothing they can do about it because an account credit is technically a refund.

Does anyone have any tips or it there is even a chance I could get a refund on my card?

Thank you

Unfortunately Shippo only issues credits to eBay dot ca sellers. Usually 10 business days. If you don't see anything in that time frame you can follow up with another email to finish the process. Last time I needed to, credit was completed the next day.

PS. If you have issues printing before you retry, check Orders tab....Move to right side of transaction and try a re-print. This will not bill you again. If any  duplicate labels  print, dispose. Usually does the trick. (To confirm, check tracking number) Also, confirm when you do go to print that you're set to the correct printer in  settings.
