Any way to turn off the Best Offer Listing Default?

Every once in a while I forget to turn off the Best Offer default when I am listing new items. Sometimes I catch it later on when I sporadically review my listings for errors, but oftentimes I do miss them. And those listings usually default to only capping lowball offers at 50-70% of the asking price. So, I usually find out after I've received a very low, lowball offer. Uggghhhh.

I had one where I declined the lowball offer and then modified the listing to turn offers off. I went to block the lowballer, but they quickly did a BIN on the item. At 50% more than their original lowball. Untracked item. Double Uggghhhh. I'm not saying all lowballers are INRers, but perhaps the disgruntled ones consider that their backup plan. Or maybe lowballing is a tactic for INRers that are just looking to tie up less money for 2-4 weeks. Who knows! Obviously I should just let it go, but it's just another one of my frustrations with Ebay!

To ease my mind for future transactions, I'm hoping there's a way to simply "opt out" of Best Offers altogether. I used to like this feature, but after time I noticed it just prompted too much negativity, and was a springboard for nasty exchanges. Is there any way to prevent the Best Offer default? I usually list on the mobile app.

I've only recently started using Best Offer and use both the high and low parameters so I only see the "maybe" Offers.

Are you setting the parameters at a level you are comfortable being paid?

Remember that Best Offers do not include shipping.

I don't think Best Offer is a default, although eBay now allows customers to make offers even if the seller did not enable the option.

but they quickly did a BIN on the item. At 50% more than their original lowball. Untracked item.

There is no law that says you have to use an untracked service. You can upgrade at your own expense.

Although paying $14.42 for Tracked Parcel USA is painful compared with $3.19 for LetterPost USA.

The problem may be the mobile app. Is desktop listing a possibility for you?

I had one more buyer today attempt to send an offer for a listing I've had for ages. They told me they were seeing FREE SHIPPING. It's set up with calculated shipping. There is Free Pickup but this customer was in Toronto. I'm in Calgary. My guess is they were/are seeing this using the app. I've clarified with the customer. So far crickets in return. This has been an issue(As per past potential customers) for at least 6 months. 4 official reports.
