Australian buyers PAYPAL payment notification tax code addition...

Have you noticed the automagic inclusion of this line right before the buyer's name and address on the PAYPAL payment notification emails?

Reference# ABN#64652016681 Code:PAID  

This started about last week, I thought the buyer had put it in until I started seeing it on all Australian payments.....

Showed up on my last sale to Australia.

It's for the sales tax collection under $1000AU that eBay started doing last year.

Not sure if it is a line that is required, or just optional, for proper mail processing.

I've seen opinions both ways here on the boards, I've been manually adding it anyway just in case, so it saves me time!

I suspect that's why they did it on the assumption people either include the paypal receipt with the shipment or, like me, folks that cut the address and tape it to the package....
