Happy Monday all! So after 3 rounds of hair-pulling, yelling at my screen, frustrating online chat "help" conversations, I thought I'd come here to see if I can get some input. I have all my auctions set up as auction style and I apply the automation rule to continuously relist until sold. I've had no issue with this to date. I suddenly noticed when I happened to look at a statement, that I'm now being charged weekly insertion fees at the beginning of April. I realize it's because the promo ended - it just caught me off guard as I don't think I've ever knowingly been charged an insertion fee before, so some kind of notification or "hey, we're taking more money now" kind of message would have been nice. Fine, moving on. So I'm now trying to figure out the best way to now deal with my listings so I'm not being charged the weekly relist fee due to the rule. I know "Fixed price" is one option and you then just get charged monthly, but I prefer auction format. The chat told me about "auto-relist" that relists up to 8 times for free - as does this page....but I don't see that? When I go to make a listing, I only see relist up to 2 times? Am I missing something? Thanks for the help, community!

jasmen@ebay velvet@ebay Extremely disappointing. It's clear that eBay has zero concern for their customers (who are the source of their revenues) nor accountablity nor follow-through.

YES, I DO KNOW this thread is from 2022, but I find it very concerning that in all this time, eBay Canada has not seen fit to correct this very error and discrepency .
>COM allows the 8 x's free relist with auction format and meanwhile .CA STILL INDICATES within the listing form that "Automatically relist this item up to 8 times if it doesn’t sell with no insertion or optional listing upgrade fees."... BUT IN FACT ONLY ALLOWS 2 RELISTS.
Just MORE verification and proof that eBay DOES NOT CARE that .CA remains stagnant, full of glitches, full of non-functioning features ...so why bother maintaining this useless branch of eBay?. Get rid of it and let us all list on.COM with ALL perks given to .COM users!
....and yes after over 2 years absence, I have returned to listing on.COM(despite having to pay that currrency conversion fee)

I would list on dot com in a heartbeat......IF we had access to calculated shipping options. Access to the numerous other options US sellers have and Canadian's do not would be a bonus, make life much easier and more than likely improve sales via traffic. And that is even with the currency exchange discrepancy.
eBay's calculator tool for sellers still is not fully functional and that tool was ported to ca sometime mid last year. I guess without ANY testing before it was released to Canadian sellers.
The link for promotional listings for the 250 auction listings still brings you to the page for tax and import charges page vs the categories it applies to. Pointed out May 8, 2024 (May Q + A). Should have been a very quick fix.

A quick fix for amazon.ca is 4-6 weeks (based on past experience when I pointed out that .ca was still claiming a 20% discount for TRS when ebay had switched to a 10% discount)
