Cancelling after winning an auction is extremely rude.
You can prevent the hassle of this three ways.
Set your Sell Your Item form (use the business/advanced form for this) to automatically open an Unpaid Item Dispute 96 hours after the auction closes.
You get any fees back and the deadbeat gets a Strike.
Set your Seller Preferences/Buyer Requirments to automatically Block bidders with Unpaid Item Strikes.
Because there are ten times more Unpaid Items with auctions than with Fixed Price listings, even though Auctions are less than 15% of all transactions, use Fixed Price listings.
And if you want to never have another Unpaid Item ever, use Fixed Price/Immediate Payment Required.
