Can You Get Both a Late Shipment & OOS Defects on the Same Transaction?

I sold an item that I misplaced and offered to send my buyer two alternatives as replacements. I waited two days, and sent a follow-up message, and waited another day, and did not hear back. She's a zero feedback/one-time buyer, and they typically tend to not see their messages for whatever reason... it's happened to me before. Anyway, I went to refund her and I noticed I missed my shipping deadline waiting to hear back from her. DOH! Can I get TWO defects in the same transaction???

I think you can.

But since the buyer is unresponsive, and you gave her the choice of two replacements, I wonder if that could be considered as Buyer Request?

Like all those sketchey companies that continue a subscription if your don't actually refuse to continue it?

If you cancel the transaction, you are not supposed to get a late shipment 'ding' at all.  I use the term 'not supposed to ' because the system doesn't always work as it should.  But even  if it shows as late on your orders page it shouldn't transfer over to your late shipping metric.
