So now Eay doesn't want us to use Canada post itself to ship through. They want us to the global shipping thing.
I have the Canada post card that get you a discount on shipping rates. I see we can't use it when doing the global shipping thingy.
now is the discount the same using either one? Or is one giving a better discount?

The Global Shipping Program is only available for sellers in the USA and UK.
eBay.ca Labels is for printing labels through ebay (purchase costs can go through Managed Payments).
Discount is the same as Canada Post's small business discount level 1. Until September eBay Labels has bonus discount that is the same as CP's level 3 discount. Not connected to your CP card.
You can still buy labels through Shippo (discount tied to your Canada Post SB card, payment via paypal or credit card). I expect this may get discontinued when all sellers are switched to Managed Payments.
You can buy labels through PayPal.com/shipnow (but will need to copy and paste the address details, payment via paypal, manual entry of tracking numbers on ebay, discount tied to your Canada Post SB card).
You can still buy labels from Canada Post's SnapShip (copy and paste of address needed, credit card for payment, manual entry of tracking numbers on ebay).
You can use other label providers (some will import details from ebay, discounts not connected to your CP card).

The Global Shipping Program is a Seller Protection available to US and UK sellers who are nervous of selling outside their own countries.
For the first years of its existance it was despised by Canadian buyers because , like UPS, FedEX and other couriers, they were required to charge the buyer Canadian duty and sales taxes, something that Canada Post and CBSA had informally decided were ridiculous since the duty-free allowance was $20Cdn (~$15US) and it would cost the taxpayer more to collect import fees than to ignore them.
Since the duty free allowance from the USA has risen to $150 and the tax -free allowance to $40, those complaints have almost disappeared.
There are still complaints about slow delivery, which after a year of COVID restrictions, you would think people would be used to or at least understand, and the same complaints have been placed about shipments from the USA with the new eBay International Shipping program. Both programs seem to have trouble with finding reliable last mile contractors for actual delivery to the customer.
We Canadian sellers don't have to use the eBay Labels, we have several other choices including postage stamps, and cannot use the GSP.
