DHL tracking not updating in buyer's orders

Hi there,

I have run into an issue where DHL tarcking is not updating on orders.

I am shipping orders though Shippo and the tracking uploads to ebay fine, but the only info uploaded to ebay is "Tracking number provided". I can see the tracking number there, but it will not update until delivery.

Anyone else experience something similar?

A lot of us say "tracking" when we should be saying "confirmation of delivery" which is a cheaper service, since the shipment does not have to be registered at every stop.

The best advice is to buy the tracking/confirmation because it is a Seller Protection against claims of non-delivery.

Neither eBay nor Paypal requires more than Confirmation of Delivery.  And showing that the item has been shipped will only get the seller a short reprieve.

Tracking has no benefit (other than emotional) for the buyer.

But once you have mailed the item, don't worry about it unless you hear from your buyer that there is a problem.

If the tracking updating on the DHL website? If it is, then it is a problem with ebay linking with that information. Is this something that happens often?

The tracking is updating on the DHL website, but not on eBay. This is an issue that started occuring more than a month ago but does not affect our other Courrier services. I have contacted customer support on 3 occasions already, but no solution has been offered.

Once DHL shows delivery, can you manually mark the shipment as delivered?
In the big picture, this would be a Bad Idea, but it would make you more comfortable until eBay catches up.

But again, the purpose of Delivery Confirmation is as a defence against claim of non-delivery.  As long as eBay/Paypal accept the courier's confirmation, you are protected.

There was a problem with some Canada Post tracking updating on ebay a while ago but I haven't noticed it lately.  Perhaps Tyler knows something about why DHL is no longer updating tracking info on ebay.

Hi @mroparts - eBay should be getting updates from couriers like DHL regularly (usually daily at least). If none of your DHL shipments are updating tracking-wise, would you mind getting me a few item number examples that I can take to the tech team?
